Welcome to Stumptown Bball, proudly operated by 3 and D Hoops, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our mission is to foster a love for the game in through engaging 3x3 tournaments, skill-building camps, and exciting events. Join us as we create a vibrant community centered around basketball and fun!
Devarious Sly-Clay
Director of Stumptown Ball

Deavrious is a long-time coach (over 12 years) of basketball, football and track. Coach D is currently the head coach of Sunset Girls basketball and an assistant coach of the football team. He works as Sunset as a resource aide. Devarious has a life-long passion for coaching youth and helping kids achieve their goals. He was born and raised in N/NE Portland where he attended Benson Tech and Grant High School. He loves to cook, hang with family and friends, and watch netflix and hulu. His favorite sports teams are the Portland Trail Blazers, Texas Longhorns, and the LA Rams. Coach D's message to the kids is “Enjoy life, take everything in, and learn from every experience because at the end of your journey no matter what it’s going to be the epic story of how you became you.

Tim Whittle
Co-owner 3 and D Hoops, Inc
Tim helps set the camp and instructional curriculum for Stumptown Bball. Whittle is a former 17-year men's college basketball coach across the country with stops at Macalester College (MN), Washington University in St. Louis and Sewanee: The University of the South (TN). Whittle has been coaching club basketball for the last 4 years, as well working as the head boys coach at Catlin Gabel and the Director of Flash Skills Academy. As a player, Tim was a four-year letter-winner at Washington University, helping the Bears to a 79-27 record and two NCAA playoff appearances including a 1996 Elite Eight. Whittle received a Master’s in Education degree in 2008 from William Woods University in Fulton, Mo. He lives in SW Portland with his wife Beth (20 year college swim coach) and two kids, Summer and Banks.​​

Dave McAbee
Co-owner 3 and D Hoops, Inc
Dave McAbee has been a director coaching youth basketball since 2018 and coaches 3&D's competitive high school girls' teams.
McAbee started working regularly with female basketball players as a manager for the University of Washington Women’s Basketball team in the late 90’s. After college, he attended Santa Clara University School of Law where he worked with athletes and coaches from Santa Clara University Men’s basketball team and alumni of the Stanford University Basketball Team. Dave is also an attorney at Intel Corporation, and a dad of boy/girl twins, Kellan and Rowynn
