3x3 Youth League

• Ages: K - 7th grade

• 1.5 hours on Saturday or Sunday (between 9am - 6pm)

• 30 minute practice

• Three (3) FIBA Rules 3x3 games (45 mins)

FAQ

Why 3v3? 

There is no better basketball format to develop skills quickly than 3 v 3 where every player on the floor has to be accountable to help their team (i.e., no hiding).  

Divisions

The league is very limited in capacity to ensure the best experience.  As a result, we are allowing sign-ups first, and we will then form divisions/teams based on those sign ups (in first to sign up priority order).  So, it all depends on what the signups look like. However, we are targeting the following divisions: K-2nd, 3/4, and 5-7.  K-2nd will be coed play.  3rd - 6th will target boys and girls divisions but may have weekends of coed play.

What if I don't have a team?

We will accept individual registrations and put teams together of similar individual registrations.

What is the level of play?  

This is a developmental level league targeted and younger kids K-7th grade.  For younger ages, we will be using lower hoops to help the kids with form and confidence.

What are game times?

Schedules for the season will be set by end of December.  Day requests will be taken but not guaranteed.

Can parents watch?  

Definitely.

Who coaches the 3v3? 

Up to two parent coaches are allowed to coach the team

What are the game Rules

• 3 players on the court at a time

• 10 min running clock games except clock stops on free throws and refs whistle

• First to 21 points (1s and 2s) or team ahead at the end of regulation

• OT - sudden death for 2 mins.  FT shoot off (first round with 1 team to make and 1 to miss)

• ​​Each team has 1 30s timeout

• Subs may enter during any dead ball situation. 

• Change of possession the ball must be cleared behind the 3 point arc

• All free throws will be 1 free throw worth 2 points

• 10 team fouls will be 1 free throw
